Our Day at Disneyland

On Madison's actual 3rd birthday Steven and I decided to take her to Disneyland. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disneyland at Christmas time! Growing up my parents took our family every year and I have some great childhood memories with my sisters there so we decided we would make it our own family tradition as well....especially since December also marks Madison's birthday. My mom volunteered to keep Brooklyn so we could have a special day with our birthday girl and we had a blast.

She is at the perfect age for amusement parks. She was thrilled from the moment she woke up that morning and went NON-STOP until about 8 p.m. when Steven and I begged her to leave after about three or four "last rides." She was a trooper in the long holiday lines and didn't complain once.  We went on Dumbo, The Carousal, Snow White, Small World, Teacups, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Jungle Cruise, and explored all of Mickey's Toon Town.  My favorite memory is when she met Cinderella! She was so excited and shy, the look on her face was priceless...she LOVED her! We ended the night at her favorite restaurant, Islands, where she dined on her favorite dinner...Mac N' Cheese.

Here are some pictures of our exciting day!

Happy 3rd Birthday Madison Rae

Today my oldest baby officially turned 3 years old! My mom offered to watch Brooklyn so Steven and I could take her to Disneyland for a special day where she got mommy and daddy's undivided attention (pictures to come soon) and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!

I can't believe my baby is 3! It now makes perfect sense to me when people say, "enjoy them when they're little, it goes way to fast!" Boy are they right! I can remember so vividly in my mind the day she was born. We were so anxious for her arrival....she was 12 days late! So many of our closest family and friends crowded the waiting room in anticipation of her arrival! She was so loved before she was even here! I feel like it was just yesterday!

Now my precious little blue eyed baby is now a full blown little girl! She is SO smart, witty, funny, independent, sassy, strong willed and damn adorable! She makes me be a better person. I want her to stay little, but at the same time, I can't wait to see her grow up!

I'll leave you tonight with a little timeline of her over the past 3 years!

Smith Family Christmas Party

Sunday was our annual Smith Family Christmas Party! This year it was decided that it would also be "Ugly Christmas Sweater" themed.  I look forward to this party every year and since it was themed and my family is super competitive, I knew it would be a great time!

 Our Family

This year my cousins and I also started a new tradition of our own.  When we were younger our moms' would ALWAYS dress us the same for holidays, so this year we decided to get the tradition restarted and dress our little girls alike.  Of course their outfits were way cuter than ours used to be! Matching shirts, tutus, and bows!

 Aren't They Too Cute??

My dad's family is HUGE! When we were younger we got together all the time, but now as we're older and the family is bigger this is the one time a year I can count on seeing everyone!  Some people think it's crazy, but I am so thankful that I know my great aunts and uncles and second and even third cousins! Thank God for a crazy big Irish family-I think there were 52 of us there!
