November in a Nutshell, Part 1

I cannot believe how fast the month of November has flown by! Only 3 more days and it's on to an even crazier month....December! Since I have fallen behind, I have decided to do two "November in a Nutshell" posts in an attempt to catch up on all the fun and exciting things our family has done this month!

  • The month started off as busy as could be! During the first weekend, on Saturday, Steven headed to The Rose Bowl  with some friends for our good friend, Jerry's bachelor party! For those of you who don't know, we are huge USC fans and unfortunately, Jerry loves The Bruins! Nonetheless, the guys had a great time drinking and watching the game.

  • That same day was Miss Rianne's 3rd Birthday Bash so while daddy was off having a different kinda fun, the girls and I headed over to the Kamphuis' house to celebrate the little diva (who Maddie refers to as her "best friend")

Present Time!
The Divas' Playing Dress-up!
  • Sunday marked my sister-in-law, Janel's, baby shower that I was co-hosting.  Since she didn't really  have a nursery theme, we took it upon ourselves to throw her a "Mustache Bash" and had a great time planning and celebrating her and her newest bundle of joy!

  • The following weekend we celebrated the 1st birthday of one of my dear friend Jackie's little girl, Cambria.

  • Then headed to Riley's Farm in Oakglen for our annual apple picking trip!

  • We also hosted "Turkey Craft Night" at our house!  The kids had a blast dot painting trees, making turkey masks, decorating turkey cookies, and of course...just playing! I am so happy we started this little tradition and hope to keep it going throughout the years!
Let the madness begin...

and silliest turkeys I've ever seen!

So there you have it! A little glimpse at the first half of November! Post #2 coming soon...
