Miss Madison Gets Stitches!

I have been dreading this moment since I first became a parent! I was at work for only the 2nd day of the new school year and my mom was calling my cell phone. I thought it was kinda weird, but thought maybe she didn't remember when I got off, etc. The moment I picked up the phone I knew something was wrong! She was trying her best to stay calm and collected...probably so I wouldn't freak out! But long story short, Maddie had been in the shower with my sister Jessica after an afternoon of swimming and tripped getting out! My mom said there was a lot of blood and was pretty certain she needed stitches.
I left work within like 10 seconds and headed to urgent care to meet my parents. Since Steven was coming even further from work, he wasn't there when we were admitted into a room but THANKFULLY, my step dad was there because I about lost it!
Madison was quite the trooper despite being tied down to keep her from moving. She wasn't even screaming...which made it even harder, just asking the doctor to "please stop giving her stitches." Talk about a heart breaker! I almost fainted (I know, bahaha) from having to stand right by her face through the entire thing, and I'm not exaggerating.... I got super sweaty and clammy and the nurse busted out the "smelling salts." Madison ended up with 4 stitches right underneath her chin and enough stickers for a small army, and daddy got to be the hero as he came rushing through the door right as the doctor finished the last stitch! I am sure it won't be our last time in urgent care with our little ones, but I am hoping I don't have to do anything like that again for a LONG TIME!

Welcome to the World, Miss Siena Grace!

On August 15th my sister Ashley, and brother-in-law Nate, welcomed their first baby girl into this world-Miss Siena Grace Klitzing! It was such an exciting day! Of course, the morning started off a little hectic because it was my first week back to work and I had an all-day training way out in Riverside, but thankfully I have an awesome boss and he let me go at noon!
I rushed down to Orange County like my life depended on it, although she didn't make her grand entrance until about 9 pm. My other sisters and I had been teasing Ashley and Nate for weeks because they refused to tell us her name until she was born so we spent the afternoon at the hospital referring to her as "Baby Noname"
It was such an exciting experience to be there and it was really my first time on the "auntie side" of the birthing process so I was an emotional wreck from the moment I saw her first picture! She is absolutely perfect and is so lucky to have Ashley and Nate as parents. I can't wait for her and our girls to grow up and be close like I still to this day am with my cousins!

At the end of July our good friends Bryan and Michelle tied the knot! They are not only good friends to us, but also love our girls so much that they call them "Uncle Grouchy" and "Auntie Michelle." We Have a Swimmer!!

Since I am totally behind on my blogging and pretty much playing catch up on the last entire month of summer, I thought I should announce that Madison is an official swimmer! She started swimming early this summer and was a little fish by summer's end. After watching cousin Bryce swim with no floaties early in the summer, I could never convince her to put them back on. We contemplated putting her in swimming lessons but she was determined to do it so her and daddy spent many summer days practicing in our pool! She even jumps off the rocks at Nana & Papa Falls' house!

Beach Camping with The Falls' Family

Two days after our trip to Wisconsin, we were off to Sycamore Canyon in Malibu for the Falls' Family annual camping trip! Now those of you who know us well know that Steven does not quite share the LOVE for camping the rest of the Falls' family does and last year, with Brooklyn only being about 4 months old, we opted to only spend one day at the campground.
This year Nana and Papa Falls' let us stay in their amazing new motor home so we convinced daddy to let us stay for 2 nights and 3 full days. The weather was PERFECT this year and we spent the day time hanging out on the beach and the night time riding bikes, playing corn hole, and lounging by the campfire.
Let me tell you, if you have never camped with small children, EVERYTHING about it is A LOT of work, but we had an absolute blast and Madison didn't even want to leave when it was time to go!
