"I Will Help Take Care of the World"

One of our family goals for this year has been to go to church more regularly and I have to say I am really proud of us!  We have been going to Inland Hills Church in Chino Hills for the past few years but this year we have really made it a point to go every Sunday and talk more about God with Madison as she gets older.
Madison LOVES going to church and LOVES her class at "Wild Kingdom"! Brooklyn even enjoys her class and the ladies in the infant class absolutely adore her! Every week Madison's class has a new message and when we go to pick the girls up after the adult service she tells us about what she learned and then of course, has to go get a donut and juice in the courtyard.  It is so neat to watch her grow to love church!
A few weeks ago the message in Madison's class was "I Will Help Take Care of the World."  One of the things I really like about their kids program is that they send the kids home with a paper that reiterates the message the kids learn and gives ways to apply the message into our home throughout the week.  Madison and I decided we would help "take care of the world" by planting some flowers in the Yo Gabba Gabba flower pots I made for centerpieces at her 3rd birthday party since they have just been sitting in the patio closet ever since.  She helped me put the flowers in the pots and has been watering them every day ever since.

Brooklyn's One Year Photo Shoot

A few weeks prior to Brooklyn's birthday I enlisted the help of my BFF from college, Mandi, to take some photos of her. Mandi is seriously the most crafty person I know! She is SO super talented, she can make just about anything-bows, flip flops, decorations, and did I mention, she takes photos like a professional photographer?? I have been so lucky to have her there to capture so many of my families milestones.  She took pictures of Maddie and I while I was pregnant, did Brooklyn's newborn photos, and now her one year photos.
The pictures came out ABSOLUTELY adorable! I love them all! P.S. Prepare for picture overload...there was no way I could choose!

Our Baby is One!

I know this post is a few weeks late, but better late than never right?  Our precious Miss Brooklyn Jane is now one! Yep, that's right! She is a little less baby, and little more toddler every day! She has the CUTEST and CRAZIEST little personality ever! It is crazy how different her and Madison have been as babies. She still isn't walking completely by herself, but I am in no hurry! With Madison I was always so worried about all of her milestones....was she on track for crawling? walking? talking?  With Brooklyn, I am truly just savoring every moment. And I have a hint of a feeling that Miss Brooklyn is going to keep mommy and daddy on their toes in the coming years! She is SO full of energy and is loud as can be!
We had an awesome "Guess Whooo's Turning One" owl-themed birthday party for her at my parents. We were blessed with so many family and friends who came to share her special day and might I add she had the BEST smash cake experience I have ever seen! She loved it! Here are some pictures of her special day!
