A Look Back At 2011

Today marks the last day of 2011.  At the end of each year I love looking back and reflecting on all of the events that happened that year and look forward to all of the exciting things that the new year will have in store. We had a crazy busy year and wouldn't have had it any other way!

Here are our top 10 memories of 2011....

1. We welcomed the 4th member of our family on April 20, 2011; a perfect baby girl we named Brooklyn Jane.

2.  We took our first family vacation as a family of four to the Grand Canyon.  We were pretty  brave, driving there with a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 1/2 month old.

3. Madison started tap and ballet and was in Auntie NeNe's class.

4. We celebrated the wedding of Steven's brother Kevin and Melissa. Just 12 days after Brooklyn was born. It was Maddie's 3rd time being a flower girl!

5.  Steven and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Las Vegas.

6. I transfered jobs after three years to a new branch of the same charter school.  I was REALLY nervous to do it but it was a great decision. I love my new site; my boss, co-workers, and students, I'm closer to home, and only have to be away from our girls three days a week!

7.  Steven got his Masters Degree in Education from National University.

8.  We celebrated the wedding of my sister Kellie and Roy in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was Maddie's 4th time being a flower girl.

9.  Brooklyn is ALMOST crawling! She has had MANY milestones throughout the year! She can sit up, smile, giggle, roll ANYWHERE, and has 4 bottom toofers! She is such a silly girl, adores her big sister Maddie, and is getting way too big.

10. Madison turned 3! (I have blogged about this a lot so I'll just leave you with one picture!)
We wish all of our family and friends a safe and happy new year! I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store! Lots of weddings and hopefully some new nieces and nephews!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Random Christmas Happenings

I have a hodgepodge of random pictures from all other Christmas type activities.....baking sugar cookies, looking at Christmas lights on Thoroughbred Lane, Georgie the Elf sightings, Christmas Eve, and Christmas so I decided  (for my own sanity) to blog them all at once.  We had one busy, exciting, fun-filled December!
