Our Trip to Wisconsin

Again, I am behind on my blogging, and since tonight I seem to be suffering from insomnia (perhaps due to the fact that I go back to work next week and still have a zillion things to do) I will attempt to start the catch up game.

So about a month ago we went to Wisconsin. Why Wisconsin?  My sister Jessica's boyfriend Nick plays for the Milwaukee Brewer's minor league team, The Timber Rattlers, there.   So when Steven got wind that Jessica was planning a week long trip to visit him on what so happened to be the week of our 3rd wedding anniversary, he was stoked and ready to go.  Although honestly, I envisioned our anniversary weekend to be spent on a tropical beach somewhere sipping fancy fruity cocktails, this year Steven's vision won and we had a fantastic time watching sporting events and visiting some of the United States most historical stadiums.

We decided to bring Madison along for the trip.  It was her very first time on an airplane and she was quite the trooper throughout the week, trucking to different stadiums and staying awake way past her usual bedtime.  It was nice to have some quality one on one time with her and we were REALLY thankful that Grandma and Nana graciously kept Miss Brooklyn for us while we were gone.

Miss Maddie so excited to fly! 5am @ Ontario Airport!

Nick met us at the airport in Milwaukee when we arrived and we hung around the city for a bit before heading to the Milwaukee Brewer's game that night.  We had amazing seats for the game and had an awesome time despite the crazy Midwest humidity and jet-lag from flying all day.

The second day we got up bright and early and made the drive to Green Bay to visit Lambeau Field...home of the Packers! It was REALLY cool! We got to tour the entire stadium, including walking out through the tunnel onto the actual field and grabbed a quick bit to eat inside Curly's Pub.

Maddie was so cute while we were on the tour.  Most of the time she was kinda bored, but when the tour guide asked if anyone had any questions she asked, "Do they have a game today?"  The whole group thought it was just the cutest thing-I thought it was a pretty good question for a 3 1/2 year old!

After touring Lambeau Field, we headed back to our hotel and got ready to go the our first Timber Rattler's Game.  We couldn't believe how packed and exciting the Minor League games were! Nick even made Madison some personalized "Ramirez" jerseys for her to sport at his games and hit a home run at his first at bat!

The next day Steven and I went on a little day gettaway and headed to Chicago to watch the Cubs at the famous Wrigley Field! It was a MUCH longer drive than we had anticipated but the stadium was by far the coolest stadium I have ever been to. We didn't get to stay after the game to do any Chicago exploring or have any world-famous Chicago pizza, so hopefully we will get to go back again one day!

I had to include the picture of Madison in our oversized jacuzzi bath tub! She loved it and took the best bubble baths in it every night!
Friday afternoon we left Auntie and Nick and headed back to Milwaukee to go home.  We made one last stop at a Milwaukee restaurant from "Man Vs. Food-The Red Rock Saloon"

She was pumped to get the window seat again!
And within 15 minutes of being on the flight, she was passed out! I think the crazy busy week finally caught up with her!
