Our Day at Balboa Beach..

Yesterday, Steven and I planned to take the girls to the beach for the day.  It was our first trip to the beach with Miss Brooklyn and we had a blast! I got up nice and early to get everything prepped and ready.( It's crazy once you have your own kids you realize how much prep work EVERYTHING is!  It makes me appreciate my own mom SO MUCH MORE and all the hard work she did daily so that we could do fun things.)
We got to the beach at about noon and didn't head for home until 7 pm! Madison could have stayed at the beach FOREVER! She had so much fun playing in the sun, building sand castles, and after a little bribery, playing in the water and looking for sand crabs with daddy! Brooklyn loved it too! She was mesmerized when we first got there by the waves and sand.  She to had fun playing in the sand (and eating it) and putting her little toes in the water! She even caught a nice little nap right on mommy's lap-but who couldn't fall asleep with the noise of waves in the background??

The day ABSOLUTELY wiped the girls out! Madison was asleep before we even hit the freeway!

I can't wait for even more beach trips with our girls this summer and in years to come! Can't summer be all year long??
